The idea of a flying taxi seems wonderful but hundreds years away. But that not entirly true. Curently Uber and a couple of other companies are making a flying taxi. For those of you wondering I do not mean flying taxi as in an airplane that can take you across the world. But more as a airplane that reduces trafic but still acts as a taxi by taking you to somewhere closeby. Not only is it an amazing idea but they taxis are suposed to run on electricity. Uber is hoping to get these operational by 2020 but realisticly it's more than a year to get them up and running.
These flying taxis could be a step toward flying cars just not the way we thought fling cars would look like. The taxis are going to be evirnmental friendly and lower traffic. Sadly they may be limited to Uber services for a while since Uber is one of the main companies working on the taxies.
